A metro train bridge has collapsed in the Mexican capital, claiming the lives of at least 15 people and wounding up to 70, according to the local authorities.
The incident occurred on Tuesday on Line 12 of the metro, near the stations of Tezonco and Olivos in the southeastern part of the city.

According to preliminary reports, medics and emergency services have already been dispatched to the site of the incident, while the head of the Mexico City government Claudia Sheinbaum has arrived on the scene.
Meanwhile, the country’s Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard called to investigate 'terrible tragedy.'
"What happened today with the Metro is a terrible tragedy. My solidarity with the victims and their families. Of course, the causes must be investigated and responsibilities defined. I reiterate I am at the disposal of authorities to help in whatever is necessary,” Ebrard tweeted.
The metro's 12 line was built when Ebrard was mayor of Mexico City.
