Sayyed Nasrallah Receives Franjieh, Discusses with Him Lebanon-Syria Ties, Financial Stability
Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah received Head of Lebanese al-Marada Movement, Minister Sleiman Franjieh, with whom he discussed different regional developments, namely the latest events happening in Iraq and Syria.
The meeting was also attended by Public Works Minister Youssef Fenyanus and Sayyed Nasrallah’s political aide Hajj Hussein al-Khalil.
The two sides stressed the necessity of restoring Lebanon-Syria ties to the normal situation, and renewed calls for the necessity of direct and official dialogue with the Syrian government. They stressed that this would happen on two main levels that are taking advantage of the chance provided by reopening AlBukamal crossing point to boost the Lebanese exports via Syria to Iraq, and the joint cooperation with the Syrian government on the issue of returning the Syrian refugees to their country and lessen the many economic and social burdens on Lebanon.
The meeting also discussed the detailed economic situation, in which the attendees stressed the necessity to increase the income and decrease outcome, taking into consideration the legitimate demands of the people with limited income, and rejecting the direct increase of taxes as well as not affecting the salaries and the retirement discounts, as well as urging the government to pay serious attention to the incomes of the marine property. They also emphasized the necessity to combat corruption.
