The Tel Aviv regime claimed on Thursday that it would ease restrictions on trade and fisheries in the Gaza Strip that had been tightened during 11 days of war against the Palestinian enclave last month.

Starting from Friday, ‘Israel’ will "expand the fishing zone in the Gaza Strip from six to nine nautical miles, and approve the import of raw materials for essential civilian factories," the Zionist entity’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories [COGAT] said in a statement.

The decision was made following "this past week's calm security situation," while the new measures are "conditional upon the preservation of security stability," the COGAT statement added.
