11 Dead in Mine Explosion in W #Ukraine

At least 11 miners have been killed in a methane explosion in western Ukraine, according to a miner union head.

The explosion took place at the Stepnaya mine in the western Lvov region.

The local emergency service has earlier put the death toll at eight, while 24 other workers are still unaccounted for.
